Postgraduate Certificate in Project Management

NFQ Level 9, Minor Award

The Postgraduate Certificate in Project Management is a part-time programme taken over one academic year.

Applications are invited from experienced professionals with:

Consideration may be given to applicants who do not fully meet the above criteria but who have significant senior professional experience in a related field such as engineering, construction, operations and software development.

All applicants are required to complete a supplementary form. Participants will be selected on the basis of the information supplied in their application and supplementary information. The university reserve the right to interview applicants to help make determinations.

Students take 30 credits as follows:

MG6810 Project Management (10 credits)
MG6811 Strategy, Leadership and Change (10 credits)
MG6812 Innovative Problem Solving and Decision Making (10 credits)

Progression to the Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management or the MSc (Project Management)
Students who successfully pass modules to the value of 30 credits and achieve an aggregate mark of at least 50% may opt not to be conferred with a Postgraduate Certificate in Project Management and may instead progress to either the Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management or the MSc (Project Management). Note: Students who registered on the Postgraduate Certificate in Project Management with ACE in or prior to the Academic Year 2018/19 will continue to progress within the requirements of the ACE Calendar Entry that applied at point of registration for pass and progression purposes.
