Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing Strategy (not on offer in 2022/23)

The Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing Strategy is a part-time programme taken over six months.

Students take 30 credits as follows:

IM6074 Marketing Strategy in a Digital World (5 credits)
IM6075 Understanding and Targeting Customers (5 credits)
IM6076 Marketing Mix (5 credits)
IM6077 Integrated Marketing Communications (5 credits)
IM6078 Digital Marketing Strategy - Capstone Module (10 credits)

Programme Learning Outcomes for Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing Strategy (NFQ Level 9, Special Purpose Award)
On successful completion of this programme, students should be able to:

  • Critically evaluate the industry, the market and organisation to inform digital marketing decisions for growth;
  • Synthesise digital and marketing theory and practices;
  • Critically apply new marketing and digital marketing insights to an organisation informed by a comprehensive range of analytical skills and critical thinking;
  • Research and implement a marketing and digital marketing strategic plan for an organisation;
  • Critically evaluate the role of digital marketing technologies in the development of appropriate marketing strategies in the digital era;
  • Analyse the complex and changing nature of today's digital customer and develop appropriate digital marketing strategies to enhance customer satisfaction;
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of contemporary integrated marketing communication in the modern digital marketing age;
  • Exhibit a marketing-orientated, sustainable and ethical approach to strategic digital marketing planning.
