MSc (Healthcare Leadership)

The MSc (Healthcare Leadership) is a part-time programme over 24 months from the date of first registration for the programme. The programme will run on a cyclical basis, every two years.

The degree of MSc (Healthcare Leadership) is an Executive Education programme offered and delivered in block release format. Part I consists of a combination of examinations and coursework in a set of specified three taught modules to the value of 30 credits. Part II consists of coursework in a set of specified three taught modules to the value of 30 credits. Modules in Part 1 and Part II each, will be delivered concurrently. Part III consists of a Research Project to the value of 30 credits

Students take 90 credits as follows:

Part I

BU6001 Financial Management (10 credits)
BU6002 Healthcare Operations and Data Management (10 credits)
MG6023 Team Leadership (10 credits)

Part II

BU6003 Health Information Systems and e-Health (10 credits)
EC6049 Healthcare Economics (10 credits)
MG6022 Strategic Management in Health Services (10 credits)

Part III

BU6004 Healthcare Leadership Research Project (30 credits)

Exit Award: Postgraduate Diploma in Healthcare Leadership (NFQ Level 9, Major Award)
Upon successful completion of taught modules to the value of 60 credits that meet the requirements of the Postgraduate Certificate in Healthcare Leadership

Exit Award: Postgraduate Certificate in Healthcare Leadership (NFQ Level 9, Minor Award)
Upon successful completion of taught modules to the value of 30 credits that meet the requirements of the Postgraduate Certificate in Healthcare Leadership
