Students will undertake a 17 day pre-sessional Academic English programme,
delivered by the Language Centre in UCC. This does not form part of the
curriculum for the degree.
In order to be admitted to the Degree Examination in Nursing Studies each
student must have attended prescribed modules amounting to 60
credits.
Students take modules to the value of 60 credits:
NU4001 Nursing Science (10 credits)
NU4002 Introduction to Nursing and Midwifery Research (10 credits)
NU4003 Management in Nursing (5 credits)
NU4008 Cancer Nursing (5 credits)
NU4009 Care of the Older Adult (5 credits)
NU4016 Evidence-based Nursing Practice (10 credits)
NU4027 Nursing Ethics (5 credits)
NU5007 Acute and Chronic Wound Care for Healthcare Professionals (5 credits)
NU5082 Physical Assessment for Nursing Practice (5 credits)
