BA (Hons) (Drama and Theatre Studies) - CK112 (for students who entered prior to 2019/20)

Commencing in 2019/20 the BA (Hons) (Theatre and Performative Practices) will replace the BA (Hons) (Drama and Theatre Studies) degree. This will be implemented on a phased basis starting with First Years in 2019/20. Students who entered First Year in 2019/20 will register for the BA (Hons) Theatre and Performative Practices degree.

Commencing in 2019/20 the BA (Hons) (Theatre and Performative Practices) will replace the BA (Hons) (Drama and Theatre Studies) degree. This will be implemented on a phased basis starting with First Years in 2019/20. Students who entered First Year in 2019/20 will register for the BA (Hons) Theatre and Performative Practices degree.

No student may register for Third Arts (Drama and Theatre Studies) until he/she has passed the Second University Examination in Arts (Drama and Theatre Studies). The selection of any module is conditional on the Professor or Lecturer concerned and the College being satisfied that a student is capable of profiting by attendance thereat. Students may not select modules which involve a timetable clash.

In Third Arts (Drama and Theatre Studies), students take 30 or 50 credits of Drama and Theatre Studies and take the remaining credits (to total 60 each year) in one other subject continued from Second Year.

Single Honours Drama and Theatre Studies

50 credit subject

Students take 60 credits in total.

Students take 50 credits as follows:

DR3031 (10 credits)
DR3001, DR3009, DR3023, DR3024, DR3032, DR3033, DR3034, DR3036 (5 credits per module)

plus one other Arts subject (10 credits) continued from Second Year.

Joint Honours Drama and Theatre Studies

30 credit subject

Students take 60 credits in total.

Students choose 30 credits from the following modules:

DR3031 (10 credits)
DR3001, DR3009, DR3023, DR3024, DR3032, DR3033, DR3034, DR3036 (5 credits per module)

plus one other Arts subject (30 credits) continued from Second Year.

Note: Students taking Drama and Theatre Studies with Music combine 30 credits of Drama and Theatre Studies with 30 credits of Music modules, as taken by Third Year students on the Arts-Music (CK104) programme, see here.

Examinations
