This is a four year honours degree programme delivered by the School of Biological, Environmental and Earth Science in partnership with Teagasc, Moorepark. This programme includes a 28-week period of work placement Third Year.
To be admitted to the First University Examination in Agricultural Science a student must have satisfactorily attended modules amounting to 60 credits as follows:

Three Year Rule
Students must pass the First University Examination inAgricultural Science within three academic years from the date of
first registration for Third Year. Failure to comply with this rule
would mean that the student would be ineligible to proceed further
with his/her studies. Exceptions to this rule may be granted by the
College, only for very serious reasons.

Students will undertake a 28-week period of Work Placement (AG3001), commencing in February of the Third Year. This 20-credit placement will also encompass preparation, Health & Safety training and spray certification.
