MSc (Innovation in European Business)

NFQ Level 9, Major Award

Collaboration with the Institut Supérieur du Commerce de Paris (ISC Paris), France and University of Applied Science, Utrecht, The Netherlands [awarded by UCC].

The MSc in Innovation in European Business is a full-time programme running for 15 months from the date of first registration for the programme.

To be eligible for the MSc in Innovation in European Business candidates must hold at least a Second Class Honours Grade II primary degree (or equivalent) in either: (1) a Business-related discipline, (2) a relevant area of the Social Sciences and Humanities or (3) in Science/Technology, with a business awareness component as part of the primary degree. Students undertaking a 5 year degree programme must have completed at least 4 years (repeat years excluded) with a second class honours grade II or equivalent.

The minimum English language requirement is an IELTS score of 6.5 or equivalent.

Candidates who do not meet the Second Class Honours Grade II requirement may be admitted to the programme on the basis of extensive practical or professional experience as deemed appropriate by the Board of Studies of the MSc in Innovation in European Business.

The programme takes place at the three partner institutions and in a placement organisation over 15 months.

Students take 90 credits as follows:

Part III, April to September - Placement Period (10 credits)

Part IV, October to December - Utrecht session (20 credits + Dissertation (20 credits))

Postgraduate Diploma in Innovation in European Business exit award (NFQ Level 9, Major Award)
Students who successfully complete 60 credits may opt to exit the programme and be awarded the Postgraduate Diploma in Innovation in European Business. Students may graduate with one award only, the highest level at which they elect to terminate their involvement in the programme.

Postgraduate Certificate in Innovation in European Business exit award (NFQ Level 9, Minor Award)
Students who successfully complete 30 credits may opt to exit the programme and be awarded the Postgraduate Certificate in Innovation in European Business. Students may graduate with one award only, the highest level at which they elect to terminate their involvement in the programme.
