Postgraduate Diploma in Economics of Business Practice (not on offer in 2018/19)

The Postgraduate Diploma in Economics of Business Practice may be taken full-time over 9 months or part-time over 18 months running over two academic years from the date of first registration for the programme. This programme meets NFQ level 9.

EC6106 Resourcing for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Part 1 (5 credits) (not on offer in 2018/19)

Note: Students taking the programme part-time take EC6100 (5 credits), EC6101 (5 credits), EC6116 (10 credits), EC6104 (5 credits) and EC6105 (5 credits) in Year 1. In Year 2 students take the remaining modules to the value of 30 credits.

Examinations

Progression to the MSc (Economics of Business Practice)
Students successfully completing the Postgraduate Diploma in Economics of Business Practice achieving an aggregate of a minimum of 50% across all modules in the programme at the first attempt and obtaining suitable work placement may opt not to be conferred with the Postgraduate Diploma and may instead to progress to the MSc (Economics of Business Practice) see here .

Progression Route to Postgraduate Education (e.g. the MA in Economics, The MEconSc or the MSc (Business Economics) at UCC, and professional training programmes)
It should be noted that (along with meeting programme specific entry requirements) at least a Second Class Honours, Grade 2 in the Postgraduate Diploma in Economics of Business Practice is required for eligibility for admission to the MA in Economics, the MEconSc or the MSc (Business Economics) at UCC. Numbers admitted to the MA in Economics, MEconSc and MSc (Business Economics) programmes at UCC are limited and no guarantee of entry to the MA in Economics, MEconSc or the MSc (Business Economics) programmes is implied by admission to the Postgraduate Diploma in Business Economics.
