The MSc in Human Anatomy is a full-time programme running over 12 months from the date of first registration for the programme.
Candidates will be required to hold an Honours Degree (NFQ level 8) with a minimum second class honours grade 2 (or equivalent) in a subject related to that of the MSc programme such as (but not exclusive) to medicine, healthcare, nursing, biomedical, bioengineering, pre-med or any biological science.
In exceptional circumstances applicants with an Honours Degree (NFQ level 8), with a minimum second class honours grade 2 (or equivalent), in a subject unrelated to the above areas, may be recommended for entry to the programme subject to the approval of the Programme Committee.
Students take taught modules to the value of 60 credits and complete a research dissertation (AN6010) to the value of 30 credits.

Postgraduate Diploma in Human Anatomy
(NFQ Level 9, Major Award)
Students who successfully complete Part I (taught modules) to the value of 60 credits may opt not to progress to Part II (dissertation) and exit the programme and be conferred with a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Anatomy. A student who subsequently applies to undertake the Master's programme must do so within 5 years of successful completion of the Postgraduate Diploma Examination.
Postgraduate Certificate in Human Anatomy (NFQ

Students who successfully complete and pass taught modules to the value of 30 credits (AN6002 and AN6003) may opt to exit the programme and be conferred with a Postgraduate Certificate in Human Anatomy. A student who subsequently applies to undertake either the Postgraduate Diploma or Master's programme must do so within 5 years of successful completion of the Postgraduate Certificate Examination.
