Three Year Rule
Students must pass the First University Examination in Business Information Systems within three academic years from the date of first registration for First Year. Failure to comply with this rule would mean that the student would be ineligible to proceed further with his/her studies. Exceptions to this rule may be granted by the School of Business, only for very serious reasons.

Attendance in IS modules and eligibility for placement in Third Year
Students entering Third Year from 2012/13 onwards must have an average of 80% or higher attendance in IS modules from their first and second years to be eligible for consideration for placement.

No student may register for the Second Year programme of study until the First University Examination in Business Information Systems has been passed. Second Year consists of core modules to the value of 50 credits and elective modules to the value of 10 credits from one of two elective groups 1 or 2.
