The MSc Degree by Research is available in Architecture.
A candidate:
a. must pursue an
internal postgraduate programme for at least one year from the date of first
registration for the programme after obtaining the primary degree;
b. must
submit a major dissertation based upon the work done during such
programme;
c. must pass an examination on the subject matter of the
dissertation if the examiners so decide.
Entry Requirements
In order to be permitted to proceed to the
MSc Degree by Research, a candidate must have obtained at least Second
Class Honours at a relevant primary degree examination; the candidate must also
be recommended by the Professors or Lecturers concerned and be accepted by the
Graduate Studies Committee. Holders of a non-professionally accredited BSc degree in Architecture are eligible to apply for an MSc in Architecture by Research.
It is possible, in particular circumstances, to pursue the MSc Degree by Research by part-time study over a period of at least two years from the date of first registration for the programme.
