EU Admission to Postgraduate Programmes

UCC has an on-line postgraduate application system for taught and research students. Details of this process are available at www.pac.ie.

Students who have not pursued undergraduate studies at University College Cork must arrange to have submitted with their application:

Copies of academic transcript(s) officially stamped by their own University institution(s) to include final degree result and proof of conferring, if available.

  1. Any supplementary documentation , which may include academic referees' reports (in English), for the programmes for which they have applied. Details are outlined at www.pac.ie.

Note: English Language Requirements

All applicants whose first language is not English are required to sit either an IELTS or TOEFL test.
The minimum English Language Requirements for Postgraduate Degree Programmes are:

Individual programmes may require a higher IELTS score than outlined above (and in exceptional circumstances the IELTS score required in CACSSS programmes may be 6.0) - this will be specified in the individual entry requirements for the programme, as listed in the University Calendar.

Non-EU Application Process for Admission to Postgraduate Programmes

Non-EU applications for entry to taught postgraduate degree programmes apply through an on-line application system ‘Postgraduate Application Centre’ on the following site www.pac.ie/ucc.

Students must arrange to have submitted with their application:

  1. Copies of academic transcript(s) officially stamped by their own University institution(s) to include final degree result and proof of conferring, if available. The original documentation must be shown at registration.*
  2. Any required supplementary documentation including evidence of English Language proficiency. Details are outlined at www.pac.ie/ucc.

*Official translation to English of the original documentation of applicants whose documentation is not in English is required.

For entry in September 2016 students are asked to apply as early as possible, but in any event not later than 1 June, 2016. Please note that some programmes may have an earlier closing date. Please check the International Office Website.

Non-EU students applying for entry to research postgraduate degree programmes at Master's or PhD level should apply through an on-line application system www.pac.ie/ucc. Details of application procedures, minimum entry requirements and English language requirements are also available on the International Office website. Please note that applications should be submitted at least three months prior to the proposed starting date.
