This three-year BA (Hons) programme focuses on the study of Applied Psychology and is recognised for graduate membership by the Psychological Society of Ireland.
To be eligible for the award of the BA (Hons) degree a student will be required to have achieved 180 credits by obtaining 60 credits in each of First, Second, and Third Arts (Applied Psychology). A student may not register for more than 60 credits in one academic year.
Students take Applied Psychology in First Arts together with two other subjects from the First Arts programme. To avoid timetable clashes no more than one subject may be chosen from any separate group below:

Changes to First Year subjects will be allowed, provided subject prerequisites are met, up to four weeks after the start of Semester 1, i.e. until Friday, 7 October 2016 . The on-line facility for making changes to subjects will only be open for the first two weeks of Semester 1, i.e. until Friday, 23 September 2016. Subsequent changes up until Friday, 7 October 2016 must be processed manually through the Student Records and Examinations Office, West Wing, UCC. Changes for FETAC and Mature students and any other student not presenting with a Leaving Certificate must be processed manually through the College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences Office, G31, O'Rahilly Building. AP1105 (5 credits), AP1108 (10 credits), AP1110, AP1223, AP1349 (5
credits per module)
plus two other First Arts subjects (15 credits each) from

Failure to comply with this rule means that the student will be ineligible to proceed further with his/her studies. Exceptions to this rule may be granted by the College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences, only for very serious reasons.
No student may register for Second (Applied Psychology) until he/she has passed the First University Examination in Arts (Applied Psychology). The selection of any module is conditional on the Professor or Lecturer concerned and the College being satisfied that a student is capable of profiting by attendance thereat. Students may not select modules which involve a timetable clash.
In Second Arts students take a Single Subject Degree in Applied Psychology consisting of modules to the value of 60 credits in Applied Psychology.
Students wishing to register a change of module must do so via the Student Portal or at the Student Records and Examinations Office no later than two weeks after the start of each Semester, i.e. by Friday, 23 September 2016 (Semester 1) or Friday, 27 January 2017 (Semester 2). Semester 1 modules cannot be changed in Semester 2. No changes in registration will be allowed after these deadlines.

*Students who passed AP2101 cannot select AP3101 but must take 5 credits from the above list of electives instead.
