The MSc in International Public Policy and Diplomacy may be taken full-time over 12 months or part-time over 24 months from the date of first registration for the programme. The taught element of the programme runs from early September to the end of March.
As places are limited, all eligible candidates are not guaranteed a place on the programme. Participants will be selected on the basis of the information supplied in their application.

Students studying for the degree part-time take the programme as follows:
Part 1 of the programme will also include field-trips to Brussels (European institutions) and Dublin (national government institutions). The field-trips will be related to the content of programme modules, in particular GV6010 Contemporary Global Politics and GV6011 EU Political System and Policies. In Part 2, from early April to the end of August, students will either go on work placement (GV6013) or write a dissertation (GV6014) to the value of 30 credits. Students who do not go on placement must complete the dissertation. The placement portfolio or dissertation must be submitted at the beginning of September.
